Every result from the print size, required resolution, and DPI calculators comes from the same pixels-divided-by-DPI arithmetic used across the printing industry. They are planning tools. They do not inspect your actual image file, so they cannot catch a soft-focus shot, a compression artifact, or a printer that is out of calibration.
